FUNDRAISING /DONATIONS

The following ways to help with our church's outreach programs and the maintenance of our beautiful heritage building are offered for your consideration:

• Post-Dated Cheques ~ Post-dated cheques and cheques (please no cash) can be sent via Canada Post to Dundas St Centre United Church, PO Box 60001, Pottersburg PO, London, On N5W 0B7.
   

• Pre-Authorized Remittance ~ a monthly donation is given to the church from your bank account or credit card. Please call 519-434-9173 or email  ( outofthecold@golden.net ) and ask Laura for assistance with setting this up. If you already are on PAR and need to change something, please ask Laura for help.
   

• Interac E-transfers* ~ if you have online banking access, it is as easy as logging into your bank account, looking for the Interac E-transfer link, and filling in a little bit of information. Please use the name “Dundas St Centre United Church” for the recipient and “outofthecold@golden.net” as the email address. Fill in the rest of the information as required and send! If you have chosen a security question and answer, please contact Laura at 519-434-9173 or the email address listed so that she can speak with you. You will have to share the answer with her for your gift to be deposited. *Please note that your bank may charge you to send an E-transfer depending on your bank/account. It is likely comparable to the price of a stamp.
   

• Canada Helps ~ is a Canadian charitable organization that allows you to give to ANY Canadian charity with your credit card. You can do this as a one-time gift or set it up as a monthly donation. Go to:

Dundas Street Centre United Church is home to several outreach programs that feed and clothe the needy in the city of London. We have many volunteers who give countless hours of their free time to enable the continuation of these activities. We also depend on the financial generosity of our friends and members to carry out good works in the community.

Please consider a donation to one of our programs.  You will receive a charitable tax receipt early in the new year for the total amount of this year's donation(s) so be sure to include your full mailing address and contact information. 

When you make a donation, you will be able to choose from one of the following funds:
 

• Dundas Centre United Operating Fund – used to help defray the costs of heat and utilities.

• Out of the Cold BAG LUNCH PROGRAM - every weekend, volunteers prepare 50 or more nutritious bag lunches and deliver them to the London Coffee House, a program of the Canadian Mental Health Association. The Coffee House provides support and socializing opportunities for vulnerable Londoners. 

• Good Samaritan Cupboard - volunteers meet weekly to collect, refurbish and distribute clothes, household items, bedding and towels to Londoners in need, as well as to refugees and immigrants. All goods are distributed free of charge through social agency referrals.

• Memorial Fund - used to refurbish and repair the building as needed. A meaningful way to celebrate the life of a deceased friend or loved one. The name of the honoree will be added to our Memorial Book.

• Building Maintenance – for the upkeep of our beautiful heritage-designated sanctuary and supporting facilities.

• Other - If you wish that your donation is used wherever most needed please choose this option.

Shopping Card Program

Dear Dundas St Centre United Church Supporters,
 

We all spend money on groceries, gasoline, computer supplies, gifts, etc. Through the Shopping Card Program you can turn your everyday shopping into meaningful funds for our church.  The money raised will be used for Mission Ministries at Dundas St. Centre United Church.

Depending upon the retailer, up to 15% of each dollar on a shopping card goes to the church.  The retailers and the percentage profit to the church are shown on the order form. You can purchase these cards by filling out an order form and mailing the form, along with a cheque for the full amount requested (made out to 'Dundas St. Centre United Church '), to:

As an alternative, bring your filled-out form and cheque to the church and place them in a locked box in the custodians' office.
